Other Characters: Kise Ryouta, Oikawa Tooru
☆CHARACTER Character Name: Takeshi Yamamoto
Age: 15
Species: Human
Canon: Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Canon Point: Post series
Character Info: Wiki Link
Personality: On the surface Yamamoto is your stereotypical friendly jock; he has an easy going personality and smiles cheerfully. He gets along well with kids and the type to seem to make friends easily. He’s very loyal to those he considers his true friends. He’s also a little spacey, often explaining things using onomatopoeia and for a good part of the story convinced he’s playing an elaborate LARP based on the Mafia.
How long he actually thinks this is debatable. At some point he has to know that it’s not a game, but how whether or not he knows he’s involved in the mafia is even more vague. He could be trolling his friends when asking if they’re playing the game or rather trolling Gokudera, and making sure Tsuna has some peace of mind, because Tsuna hates the idea of dragging people into his crazy life. It’s shown by the time he’s twenty-four he stops acting like the whole thing is a game.
I usually go with the idea that he realizes something is up around the Ring Battles (third arc of the series, aka the time where a grown man tries in ernest to kill a toddler, he’s told the man he’s set up to against in battle went on a world tour battling and killing as many sword masters as he could eventually earning the title of Sword Emperor, and then a giant shark eats said man… and then comes back) and when we meet his future self we’re shown he has knows it’s not a game anymore. When he learns of the Arcobaleno curse during the Future Arc is when I head canon he learns that the mafia aspect of his life isn’t a game either.
He’s a below average student. This is mostly due to laziness than intelligence. He focuses most of his attention on baseball or swordsmanship, and his friends. He keeps his grades up enough to not get kicked off the team. Despite this laziness he can learn very quickly if it’s something he loves, like baseball, or feels he needs to learn, such as swordsmanship. He has amazing reflexes, good observational skills to use those reflexes.
He’s a very confident person. He never expresses doubt and the words “I think…” hardly ever cross his lips. He’ll admit he doesn’t have answers to some subjects, but if it’s something he has the absolute confidence in he will never waver on his stance until he’s proven wrong, in which case he will admit that he was wrong and learn from the experience.
Yamamoto may make friends easily. But most of these friends aren’t particularly close. The people he feels closet too are those that he finds interesting. Most of these people are people who at one time tried to kill him in varying degrees of success, including the boy who came the closet to killing him and left him a bloody mess in the baseball locker rooms. There are exceptions, such as Tsuna Sawada who saved him from his suicide attempt early in the story.
To those that earn this loyalty from him he will do anything for them. He once gave up on playing baseball professionally in order to protect his familgia, though he took it back it up once it was clear the situation had cleared up. Once he let himself be injured badly enough that he wouldn’t be able to play in the baseball game he had the next day in order to protect his friends and insure their victory.
Though he’s upbeat most of the time he is capable of anger. This anger only comes out when one of his friends or family members is in danger or hurt. Then his anger is a force to be reckoned with.
☆INTERSTELLARChosen Powers:Rain Flames: These flames have the attribute of Tranquility, and when used on another person Yamamoto can slow them down and weaken them, he often wraps his sword in these flames and every hit will cause his enemy to slow down very slightly. (15 MP)
Soen Shigure Ryu: his sword style. There 12 stances in the Soen Shigure style, eight that he was taught, and the rest he created himself. With the style he can use the water around him as a shield. He can substitute his flames for water if there’s none around. (15 MP)
Chosen Equipment:
His Sword, Shigure Kintoki, a beautiful and ancient sword made specifically for his style. It’s unbreakable, and when not being used it takes the form of a wooden practice sword, it only allows users. (15 MP)
Vongola Necklace of the Rain. The Necklace of the Rain allows him to focus his flames, and will let him summon Kojirou, his swallow box weapon that he can use to spread Rain Flames. It has other functions he won’t be able to access yet, such as summoning his other box Jirou (an Akita who holds three sword hilts) and which will prevent him from activating his Combio Forma(15 MP)
Relevant Skills: Swordsmanship, Yamamoto is a master of the Soen Shigure Ryu style and is able to wield up to four swords of varying sizes at once. Incredible perception and quick visual learning.
Character Goals: Save Tsuna and Squalo. He guesses save Xanxus too. The other people would be nice, but not his main objective.
